Philosophy of Education:

As the Athletic Director of Chesterton Academy of St. Margaret Clitherow, my philosophy on education, particularly in the realm of athletics, is rooted in the cultivation of Catholic virtue; Prudence through the ability to make wise and thoughtful decisions, such as when to take risks, when to conserve energy, and when to execute a strategic play; Justice through integrity, respect for rules, and honoring teammates and opponents; Fortitude through challenges in courage, determination, resilience, and perseverance in the face of adversity; and Temperance through discipline and moderation of the appetites in pursuit of eternal victory.

I also believe it is important to encourage students to view their participation in athletics as an opportunity for evangelization. By living out Catholic values in the competitive arena, they can inspire others to seek the Truth and embrace the traditions of the Church. We teach students that their actions and words can convey the message of Christ, and through their exemplary behavior, they can make a positive impact on their peers, opponents, and spectators.

Message to parents:

I am honored to serve your family as the Athletic Director here at the Chesterton Academy of St. Margaret Clitherow. I consider it an incredible responsibility and privilege to ensure your child receives a fully integrated Catholic education. The physical and spiritual safety of your children is my top priority, and I aim to ensure Athletics remains complimentary to our shared values and mission. I sincerely thank you for placing your trust in this team, and I look forward to our joint pursuit.

“And every one that striveth for the mastery refraineth himself from all things. And they indeed that they may receive a corruptible crown: but we an incorruptible one.” 1 Cor. 9:25
